Who is entitled to buy an SPEED Ferret upgrade. Q:
What are the contents of the SPEED Ferret
package and what software do I need to run SPEED Ferret?
Note 1:
The SPEED Ferret SQL server driver uses ODBC. During each
start, the driver tests whether ODBC 3.0 or higher is
installed on your system. Many Microsoft products
automatically install ODBC 3.0, like SQL server, ACCESS,
Excel, or Visual basic. On Windows 2000 systems ODBC 3.0
is always available. Q: Are there different language versions of SPEED Ferret? A: So far there is only an english language version of SPEED Ferret. We are collecting customer inquiries for language versions, to determine if there's a high demand for language versions. So if you think you need it, just let us know. Q: Will I have problems to run SPEED Ferret with my own language version of Access, VB or SQL server? A: No, you shouldn't. During the development process SPEED Ferret is always tested with many different language versions. Also programming techniques with a higher risk for language conflicts are avoided. Our own database lists customers in almost all european countries. So you can be quite sure not to run into language problems. Q: Where do I have to keep an eye on, when working with different langage versions of Access, VB or SQL server? A: Exactly as when programming code, you must only make sure to use the english terms for objects and values. In Microsoft Access for example, if you have a property named "Attivato = Si", the database actually stores "Enabled = Yes". The conversion in the respective language takes place when property sheets are displayed. Questions concerning program functions and featuresQ:
